Reissued January Edition

In response to inquiries from customers and industry members about the NAGS benchmark and the recent overall market pricing changes published in the September 2016 and January 2017 NAGS benchmark, Mitchell has decided to undergo a review of the process and methodology for the NAGS benchmark.

As part of this process, Mitchell is reissuing the January 2017 NAGS benchmark. The January NAGS benchmark now consists of the September 2016 parts and pricing, and also includes new model year vehicle parts without pricing. NAGS customers will receive instructions on how to apply the January reissue.

Mitchell recognizes the importance of NAGS benchmark to the automobile glass industry and we believe this review is appropriate. We expect to publish the May 2017 NAGS Index as planned. Please contact John Gilmartin, SVP of Services & Operations, at john.gilmartin@mitchell.com with any questions.

2005 Air Bag Quick Reference Guide

NAGS publishes the most comprehensive and easy-to-understand guide for working safely around air bags. The NAGS Air Bag Quick Reference Manual comes out every year, and can help you stay safe and unharmed by accidental air bag deployments.

New Features: The Air Bag Quick Reference Guide offers 10 year model coverage up to 2005 plus Battery locations, new easier format, and a Labor Time Section for all listed vehicles.

NAGS has filled this guide with cautions, component locations, air bag disabling procedures, air bag facts to remember, how air bags work, air bag system safety, and more for both domestic and imported vehicles back to 1996. The potential for injuries, liabilities, and lost time from air bag disasters on the job is making this the most popular safety resource in the auto glass industry today.

Here’s what you’ll find in the Air Bag Quick Reference Guide:

  • Section 1: Quick look-up reference at a glance. Find the Year, Make, and Model and instantly see the type of Air Bags (driver, passenger, side, etc.), whether the vehicle has pretensioners, deactivation wait times, page reference to Disabling and Activating procedures, page reference to Component Locations.
  • Section 2: Disabling & Activating Air Bag System, Testing Activation.
  • Section 3: Air Bag System Component Locations.
  • Section 4: Air Bag/SRS Labor Time Guide Our NAGS Guides are no longer available to be sold online. If you would like to purchase a guide, please call our Inside Sales team at 1-800-551-4012
